Too bad they hyped it so thickly.
The loss of English woodland is not a pifling matter.

I agree it was long and droned on, a shorter presentation without the hippy pretense would have made it a far better video.

I'm curious about this, the events portrayed were 10 years ago and more power to Swampy (whatever happened to him?) but the horses seemed more interested in the police mounts than the trees... One of the wild horses touches foreheads with the white police horse then swings a hoof at the other mount... is this mystical tree protection or equine hormones?

some sheeple attityde not only makes others look better humans
if some would abstain from opening their trap and' feel '
instead of being judgmental of an effort .. t o bring attention to an issue that should have been dealt with long ago
maybe there would be some kind of future for this country
unfortunately it is up to few hippies [so it appears ] to care for the Land

I don't see how that youtube video is doing anything for the country. It depicts events that happened a long time ago and without the fancy editting and the voiceover you could quite easily draw a completely different conclusion from the video. Sorry you feel people should "shut their trap" Luci but this is a chat site and we are allowed to express an opinion, even if it differs from yours.

Lucia, you're confusing critical comment with disagreement. I'm not saying that the destruction of Newbury Bypass was a good thing, merely asking why push this instead of the environmental violations that are happening today and highlighting the propaganda element. The Newbury protest was a hard fought struggle that was eventually broken by intense effort from police intelligence units and paid infiltrators; the real story isn't about horses.

The Newbury Bypass certainly did end up being built and the clearance of approximately 360 acres of land, including 120 acres of woodland did happen. Whether or not the horses in the video are reacting to this event is something we can all draw our own conclusions to, although it is true that the events in Newbury back in 1996 where part of the current awakening of the awareness to our planet.

In 2007, eleven years on its difficult to find anybody who does not have concerns regarding our futures, even if their concerns manifest themselves in denial.

              Any thoughts out there?

rather than "feeling", why not take action? get a bunch of people together, start a foundation, raise money, and buy back the land. Its that simple.
