There's always been a prevading thought that most citizens in U.K. are seen by the world as posessing a too rigid conservative way of life, the way they dress, spend money, etc. Is that true?

While in London, I had the pleasure of working with such a man. Though conservative in his personal life, not Conservative in his politics!... (quite objective in his criticism in Thatcher).

i agree with Grimm, Brits are becoming less restrained in their actions and idea's and Americans seem to be becoming more conservative.
time for all change??
